*Raggy Denim-Stripes Large Tote Bag*

Here is a large tote bag made in the popular raggy style! This tote bag is very roomy and would be great for the beach, shopping, a day trip, or even an overnight visit!This bag is made from 6 inch squares of denim alternating with this fun pink/purple/blue striped print, lined with a batik/tye dye blue cotton fabric, with squares of cotton batting between them. I have included a loop closure over the large bright multi-color button.

The rectangular bag is about 16 inches across and about 12 inches high, with 6 inch side and bottom panels. There is also a solid (instead of raggy) 16-inch drop shoulder strap made with the same fabric as the lining. There is a hanging loop on both sides for your keys or purse charms, or anything else you would like to attach! (MY keys are NOT included!)

The squares were stitched with a 'kreative' meandering 'X' and sewn together with the seams exposed and then clipped; it was washed and dried to start the ragging process, resulting in the fluffy seams pictured. The bag also has 3 inner pockets, of slightly alternating sizes.

Here is a small "quilt-blankie" made in the popular raggy style! This bright purple and green quilt-blankie would be suitable for boy or girl, in a small crib or bassinet - or for your small child who still likes to have his or her 'blankie' nearby at all times!

This quilt-blankie is made from 6 inch squares of alternating mottled purple and green cotton prints, backed with a soft blue flannel, with squares of cotton batting between them.

The quilt-blankie is about 26-27 inches square. The squares were stitched with a 'kreative' meandering 'X' and sewn together with the seams exposed and then clipped; it was washed and dried to start the ragging process, resulting in the fluffy seams pictured.

I use a blended '80/20' batting (poly/cotton) which is more durable than either fiber alone, and I hand tie the quilt with perle cotton floss in colors complementing the quilt fabrics. The quilt is machine stitched around the edges of the border. The backing is made with pieced blocks of fabric from the quilt top fabrics, with additional complementary fabrics added as necessary. The back of the quilt has a custom tag and is signed and dated.
